Beer(s) of the Week! (11-28-17 to 12-3-17 and 12-4-17 to 12-10-17)

Revision Brewing Company

Double IPA (ABV 8.0%, 75 IBU)

Commercial Description: There’s a problem with this beer; it’s most commonly available in 12 ounce cans, 16 ounce glasses, and 22 ounce bottles.  Of course, if you’re lucky you can snag it by the 64 ounce growler.  Or even better, the 661 ounce keg or the 1,984 ounce keg.  Now we’re talkin’. Loads of late-hopping creates massive flavor. Simcoe and Mosaic hops battle for domination on the palate; you win.

Great Divide Brewing Co.

Barrel Aged Yeti 2015 (Imperial Stout, ABV 12.0%)

Commercial Description: This unique version of our monstrous Yeti Imperial Stout is aged for at least 12 months in whiskey barrels.  The spirited aging process produces a hugely complex but mellowed Yeti, with its signature roasted flavors, hints of vanilla and oak, and a whiskeyed finish.  Who says you can’t tame a beast?

Agrarian Ales

Equanimity (Barrel-Fermented Honey Pale, ABV 6.8%)

Commercial Description: With a dance of estate clary sage honey, layers of toasty malt, and barrel fermentation, this pale ale was an experience of sweet woody malt delight. Freshly emptied Levelle Pinot Noir barrels provided notes of fruit while the clary sage herbal nuances floated by the finish.

Lompoc Fine Ales & Lagers

Blitzen Tangerine Pale (Pale Ale, ABV 5.0%)

Commercial Description: A bright straw colored holiday favorite. Dry hopped with Centennial hops, dried apricots and coriander. The hops lend a slight spicy and earthy aroma while the apricots provide a faint sweetness with a fruity flavor and aroma.
